Checks AI coding agents such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot CLI, and what you send to AI chats in Chrome and Edge.
- Open the disk image and drag Evidren to Applications.
- Open Evidren. When macOS says Apple could not verify it, choose Done.
- In System Settings, open Privacy & Security, choose Open Anyway and confirm. Open Evidren again and choose Open.
macOS asks once because Evidren is not notarised by Apple. No step turns off a protection.
To uninstall, disconnect in Evidren first, then delete the app.
Windows
Checks what you send to AI chats in Chrome and Edge.
- Open the installer. If Windows says Windows protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Choose Install, then Finish with Open Evidren ticked. Evidren connects Chrome and Edge by itself.
- In Evidren, add the extension and run the test. The window shows each step.
Windows asks because the installer is not signed. Where Smart App Control is on in Windows 11, the installer cannot run.
To uninstall, open Settings, then Apps, then Evidren.
Browser extension
Checks messages, pasted text and files you send to ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Gemini, Le Chat, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Grok and Meta AI in Chrome and Edge, before they leave the browser. It looks for Swedish personal identity numbers, IBANs, card numbers, passwords and access keys.
It does not see the chats’ desktop and mobile apps, other browsers, or what a page sends on its own. Its records stay on your computer, without the text.
Evidren for Mac and Windows includes the extension and shows how to add it. To add it on its own, download it, unzip it, turn on Developer mode on the extensions page in Chrome or Edge and choose Load unpacked.

Evidren runs on Macs with Apple silicon and on 64 bit Windows. There is no download for Intel Macs or Linux.
